A clinical study¹ tested the accuracy of the DINAMAP^TM SuperSTAT blood pressure technology in adults and children according to the ANSI/AAMI SP-10:2002 Standard.

SuperSTAT NIBP data acquired concurrently with the ECG parameter will report a determination even in the presence of an irregular heart rhythm.

The study, conducted in cath labs, included 28 adult and pediatric subjects ages 4 to 80. Systolic, diastolic, mean arterial pressure (MAP), and pulse rate (PR) were compared to intra-arterial blood pressure (IBP) measurements. Five subjects had atrial fibrillation.

The differences between the SuperSTAT algorithm and the IBP reference were analyzed.

The SuperSTAT NIBP algorithm met the ANSI/AAMI SP-10:2002 accuracy specifications for the adult and pediatric population of ±5 mmHg for mean difference and ≤ 8 mmHg standard deviation.
